Clients include ICE, FBI, DOD, as well as DHS and others. Represented FEBG and sister companiesCFederal Employee Investment Services, Inc., McLeod Consulting, Inc., and McLeod Capital Mortgage Company, Inc.Cas General Counsel in day-to-day operations and provision of legal services and advice on diverse matters to corporate senior management. Heavy focus on employment, corporate, trademark, contract (including government) negotiation and drafting, EEOC investigations, workers= compensation matters, and general business matters such as the development of several new companies. Investigated discriminatory acts and resolved conflicts. Developed organizational Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and communicated policies that promoted a workplace free from harassment and intolerance. Achieved expertise in Federal government contracting, procurement, and acquisition process and procedures performing legal services for company contractor approval status with DOD, ICE, FBI, etc. Provided counsel on legal methods for resolution of contract disputes and techniques for avoidance of disputes. Advised on preparation of solicitations and model contracts. Responsible for all activities relating to standards of conduct and ethical relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, associates, and the communities in which the company conducts business. Advised on difficult issues involving contraction formation, fiscal law, contract interpretation, and terminations. Managed, reviewed, analyzed, and provided legal advice on contract claims. Advised, crafted and filed trademarks. Successfully prevented infringement on those trademarks. Controlled outside legal counsel and costs associated with same. Developed network of attorneys across the United States to service corporate clients nationally. Provided risk management for all aspects of company endeavors. Provide leadership in the development of a compliance risk management program to assess, prioritize and manage legal and regulatory risks. Responsible for effectively communicating the compliance and ethics standards and procedures to all associates and other agents through effective training programs. Provide guidance to senior managers on compliance and ethics related matters and their impact on organizational objectives.
