Daily Duties at Doctors Laboratory:

Drove to nursing homes to draw the patients blood, drew blood at the lab, collected drug screens, answered phones and handled patient complaints and solved them to their satisfaction, handled client problems and concerns and helped establish good communication between clien and lab, set up drug scrren accounts, fax'd lab results to appropriate destination, set up appointments for paternity test, obtained test results for paternity tests, would also perform paternity tests and maintained confidentiality, data entry when needed, knowledge of insurances, knowledge of what diagnosis will cover blood tests, knowledge of ICD-9 codes and CPT codes, accepted payments on patient bills with cash or credit card, looked up test results for clients,went to different offices to collect their specimens and bring them back to the lab for proper handling, helped patients not be afraid of their blood getting drawn.
