Daily Duties at Ibm :

• Solution recommendation, implementation and delivery based on policy approval. • Provided Problem & Change Management Consultancy via IBM ManagedNow and HP OpenView through ITIL (v3) methodology. • Upgraded and Maintained physical and Virtual Servers including Planning and implementing fixes / Patches on SANs. • Manage & Maintain Production Nodes, Domain controllers, File Servers, Application Servers, Virtual Servers (GSX), EMC SANs, Backup systems. • Administration and Management of IIS, SharePoint, SQL2k & 2k5, MS and Symantec Cluster servers. • Citrix application virtualization and provision related issues, affecting significant no. of users • High-end change Management in Symantec/MS cluster, hardware/software faults/ Upgrades, SAN storage issues on production systems. • Complex Health Checks including Problem analysis & escalation to appropriate channels • Acted on Day to Day House Keeping tasks by using tools & scripts • Create regular reports for Management requirements. • Problem determination and root Cause Analysis for the incidents within expected time frame. • Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes. • Coordinated with Server Managers/other teams in regards to escalations & problem handling. • Assumed personal responsibility for resolving problems in most effective way possible within SLA & reaching root cause and future preventative measures for problems. • Adhere to all the account specific technical as well as general process / procedures. • Monitored and controlled IT Strategic Technical engineering support workforce. • Maintained & established rapport and credibility with major Clients & Stakeholders. • Account Management, Contract/Contact Management & Client/Vendor Management. Technologies Used: • MS Windows Server Ent 2000, 2003 (FSRM, SMfS, VDS), MS Exchange 2003, DPM2007, SharePoint, IIS 6.0 & 7.0. • MS Windows Vista/XP/2000, MS Office Suite 2003/2007 Including (MS Access, MS Project) • Citrix Presentation Server 3.0, Veritas Cluster Server, MS Clustering Services. • EMC CLARiiON AX4 SANs & IBM System Storage DS3200, HP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloader, IBM Storage TS2900 Tape Autoloader, IBM Storage TS2230 Tape Drive Express Model. • Symantec Corporate Antivirus, Symantec PcAnywhere 12.0, Symantec Ghost. • Domain backup & strategy including disaster recovery Symantec Backup Exec 12d & NT Backup. • IBM Blade HS, LS & X Series Servers, HP Proliant ML & DL G3-G5 Series Servers. • VMWare GSX 3.0, ESX 3.5, VMWare Workstation 6.0, HP SIM 5.0, HP OpenView.
