Daily Duties at Borgata Hotel And Casino:

MAJOR FOCUS: Supervise work activities of housekeeping personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive hotel. Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Responsible for all daily housekeeping services to guest rooms, * Supervise all Guest Room Attendants assigned to them, issue work assignments, keys, etc. and monitor their work progress. * Respond to any guest request or complaint immediately. * Retrain Guest Room Attendants as needed to correct deficiencies. * Inspects housekeeping floor closets in the morning and assures that linen par stocks and adequate supplies are in place. * Insure that all Vacant/ready rooms are reported immediately. Inspect at least three departures and ready rooms per section with written checklist daily. * Inspect every departure and ready Suite and every VIP arrival, assigned guestroom, prior to the arrival of the guest. * Assure that all special projects, (VIP cleaning, etc.) are completed properly and as scheduled. * Coordinate any maintenance work through the housekeeping coordinator and follow up that the work properly completed. * Assure that every guestroom in the section has been properly serviced prior to the end of the shift. * Assure that at the end of the shift, all floor closets are left orderly, that all GRA carts are stored orderly and secured, and that all GRA section key cards are signed in and are accounted for. * Assure that any guest item left behind in a departure room is returned to the housekeeping office immediately for subsequent turn over to the lost and found department. * Report any unusual occurrence to the Housekeeping Manager. * Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of department staff. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: * Performs other duties as assigned.
