Locations: 4/2001 - 7/2004 Madison, WI 7/2004 - 7/2005 Omaha, NE 7/2005 - 3/2006 Minneapolis, MN Responsibilities included: reviewing, analyzing and decisioning consumer requests within company and industry guidelines for wholesale (Madison) and retail (Omaha and Minneapolis) mortgage lender. Made decisions/exceptions beyond decisioning authority levels of less experienced underwriters. Provided feedback to mortgage specialists and coaching to lower level underwriters. Started as an AUS (automated underwriting system) Conventional mortgage underwriter in 2001. Attended FHA training in 2002, which led to DE and Level 3 underwriting authority. Received training in 2003 for Emerging Markets National Program (EMNP), 2004 for VA underwriting, and 2006 authority to review/approve VA appraisals.
