Daily Duties at Enichem America Inc:
Warehousing and Domestic Distribution Manager Importer and distributor of synthetic rubber, plastics, food grade and hazardous chemicals Full responsibility for: Ongoing operation of multiple location warehouse network and million dollar inventory All inland domestic freight rates, negotiation and routing on cost effective basis Supervision of 4 cargo dispatchers and operating an in house truck load brokerage Set up computer “freight rate” data base for more cost effective control of shipments. Negotiated reduced contract truck load rates and obtained national contract rate discounts with several common carriers for LTL shipments. Spearheaded computerization project -- responsible for testing automated billing and inventory system. Designated by management as “corporate representative responsible for the orderly transfer of ongoing operation, inventory and records” during several product spin offs and acquisitions. During product acquisition from American Cyanamid Corp. was responsible for personally inventorying and arranging the movement of 1.75 million pound product inventory to our warehouses. Orchestrated the inventory movement in 7 business days at a cost of over 30% less than previously estimated by management
