Daily Duties at Wego Chemical & Mineral Corp:
Importer and distributor of industrial, pharmaceutical and food grade chemicals Full responsibility for: Inventory control, dispatch, trucking and the ongoing operation of the warehouse network in addition to supervising preparation of customs entries and duty drawback filing Supervise staff of 8 in the importation of 1,500 containers per year from the Far East in to 17 warehouses or directly to customers Negotiated initial ocean freight rate contracts which allowed savings of $300 to $400 per container and successive ocean freight rate contracts with Maersk, Kline, APL, China Shipping and Zim lines allowing additional freight savings. Renegotiated customs brokers contracts to allow significant cost savings thru reduction of per entry cost from $110 per entry to $70.00 per entry. Reorganized warehousing operation and manual inventory record keeping system. Removed several inefficient and costly warehouse operations and standardized method of order transmittal. Negotiated warehouse services on cost effective terms
