Daily Duties at Qwest:
USwest Team Lead Tier Level 2 Greenwood Village, CO I was hired to establish the tier 2 support team for the USwest Communications proprietary Mainframe, UNIX, and X Windows connectivity desktop application. I provided application support and technical troubleshooting techniques to all tier 1 support engineers. I was responsible for and documented all root cause and problem resolutions. I wrote the production support technical procedures, disaster recovery guides, and test cases for the release and test teams. I ensured system compatibility with the existing desktop environment. I installed and configured all new product releases. I visited external call centers and performed system and capability tests. I attended vendor training and product release and update calls. I created, updated, the software installation procedures and supervised the installation of all major and minor vendor software releases. I implemented all tier 3 and development code fixes for workstations and servers. I trained all lower level support engineers and attended all weekly status calls with Development and tier 3 level supports.
