Daily Duties at Xtera Communications:
Sr. Optical Technician Photonics Sub-Systems engineering group, startup company. Responsible for test and measurement, calibration and assembly of all long haul optical prototype products. Duties include complete build and assembly from optical component level up to the finished product. This involved extensive fusion splicing and fiber management, test and measurement, and intricate assembly. Wrote procedures and performed out of state training of many operators of various ethnic and professional backgrounds at our contract manufacturer.
