Daily Duties at Virzone Airphone:
Modified malfunctioning PL/SQL stored procedures, packages and functions. Installed and configured Oracle version 9 RDBMS software and created Oracle databases in a LINUX operating system environment. Migrated database objects and over 50 GB of data from a DEC VAX/Oracle v. 7.1 into these new environments for use in feasibility testing. Identified poorly performing SQL statements providing recommendations for improvement. Reconstructed and created OpenVMS DCL and PL/SQL coding logic scripts for the automated migration of data subsets from a production database to testing/QA databases. Authored a document on database high availability options.
