Daily Duties at Sorenson Lighted Controls:

• Manage a one shift operation of the indicator light division. • Supervise a staff of 27 hourly employees including Manufacturing, Maintenance, Process and Shipping managers. • Oversee the facility, grounds and manufacturing operations including Injection Molding and 35 ton Power press Departments. • Developed and implemented a 5S, Lean and Visual manufacturing along with S.M.E.D. and Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) programs. • Developed MSDS, Emergency evacuation and Hazardous Communications programs. • Standardized manufacturing specifications to customer and industry requirements. • Introduced level three process and work instructions to the manufacturing floor. • Improved productivity and reduced customer lead times by 50% by closer controls on machine scheduling and better control of operator standards. • Accepted full authority as a General Contractor for the restoration of an 8,000sq.ft. facility which was completed ahead of schedule and in compliance with all state and local codes.
