Daily Duties at Nadel Architects Inc.:

In addition to projects I ran, since 1991 I was also Director of Production at Nadel Architects Los Angeles. I was in charge of quality control, writing/updating our master specifications, developing details, staff continuing education, ADA updates, code updates, and overseeing/updating our master details. As Director, I was technical advisor for entire staff; responsible for developing or reviewing and approving new details and responding to building code issues, as well as mentoring architectural staff. On all my projects, from the minute the project came in I was the main contact with the client; staffing the project as required to meet schedule and overseeing budget hours for duration of project, overseeing our design staff thru schematics and design development, meeting with zoning and building departments, as well as overseeing production and construction phases (including coordinating with all trades, personally writing project specifications, clearing plancheck requirements, reviewing shop drawings and mock-ups, responding to RFI’s, visiting jobsite as necessary, issuing Bulletins, attending all owner/contractor meetings, etc.). I was involved from start to finish.
