Daily Duties at Sir Hn Hospital & Research Center:

Management of three different inpatient wards both medicine, surgical, ambulatory and intensive care unit, totally comprising of 45 beds of 240 bedded, multispeciality hospital. Oversee of all operations, budgets & finance, services, staffing, inventory, patient care, insurance correspondence, patient facilitation, infection control, waste segregation and management, renal transplant coordination, grievance handling and crisis management. Managed large projects - Cardiac CathLab, CT Scan Center, Physician Billing system, Pharmacy Bar-coding, etc. Managed outpatient clinics frequently in absence of hospital administrator. 1) Implemented the bar code system for billing in the hospital pharmacy. 2) Member of the coordinating team for Cadaver Transplants of the hospital. 3) Incorporated a new billing system for the patient bills. 4) Initiated and implemented an effective system of processing the insurance correspondence and payment. 5) Corporate tie-ups with different companies for medical services for their employees. 6) Reduced the patient discharge time from 10 hours to 1 hour. 7) Analyzed data for hospital acquired infections to formulate hospital antibiotic policy. 8) Designed many brochures for health checkup, specialty clinics and different camps. 9) Developed and documented Standard Operating Procedures and Protocols for Wards, Blood Bank, Radiology and Pathology. 10) Managed an employee strike in the hospital. 11) Introduced different Health Check-up Packages in the hospital. 12) Organized regular medical camps, seminars and Continuous Medical Education (CME) for the hospital. 13) Conducted training sessions for nurses and orderlies on many different topics.
