Daily Duties at Nsambya Hospital Training School:
Medical Laboratory technician/Microbiology team lead Rotated in microbiology, Hematology, Serology/immunology, Blood transfusion, Clinical chemistry and Reception/Phlebotomy. Processing and analyzing patent’s samples using manual and automated methods Reviewing and approving of test results Preparing reagents for use in the lab Take part in quality control and assurance. Worked on HIV research project, used immunological tests such as CD4/CD8 count, ELISA, western blot and others to diagnose and monitor treatment of HIV, CMV, TOXO, mycoplasma, STDs on expecting mothers an youth.
