$5.9 billion department/specialty store retailer comprised of 240+ regional department store groups 60, luxury retailers and 2 international partnerships. · Directed 10 store planning and design staff members for all department store divisions as well as Saks Fifth Avenue division; managed two offices, budget, travel, and expense authorization · Managed and negotiated terms with outside designers, engineers and architects, as well as overseeing procurement of all internal components and performing all approvals for design and vendors · Managed up to 15 concurrent projects annually at an average budget of $12 million; designed, documented and constructed over 50 stores, consistently meeting all budget and schedule objectives · Traveled up to 80%; managed design process for project in Dubai, UAE in collaboration with Dubai-based franchisee · Concurrently managed up to 15 projects annually with average budget of $12 million per project · Created and implemented standard department design package, allowing for volume negotiation of and buying and minimizing operating costs; managed design process costs to reduce by up to 4% of budget · Developed prototypical store design for Parisian Store Division and McRae’s Store Division, boosting sales and allowing those projects to exceed their annual sales plan by up to 25%
