Daily Duties at Nissan Usa Hq:

Nissan - USA 7-04 - 12-05 Middleware Manager & Architect & Project Manager Reported to the Director of Applications. Middleware Department management & migration of the Vitrea SOA architecture to the easily supported IBM WebSphere suite SOA architecture. Managed projects through the full SDLC and introduced the replacement technology. Worked closely with the PMO office to formulate the strategy for change. • Designed a group of fifteen Middleware Integration projects covering the next five years of growth and if fully implemented $300 million dollars of expenditure. Implemented BP analysis procedures for departmental formal integration into the Enterprise Architecture. Projects integrated with SAP, Siebel, DB2/UDB, and in-house-custom data sources. • Designed Security systems for Middleware based on DataPower hardware to enable predictable security measures. Worked with IBM business partner (Datapower formerly Commercequest) to replace the problematic Vitrea security that was the established norm. Formulated 4 year strategy to Security enable all web services operating on all operating systems. • Met daily with management teams and development teams to determine the future & immediate plans for the group. Documentation produced consisted of initial meeting notes and next steps, 30,000 foot slide deck to sell the idea to the C-Level management, Roadmaps and SOW’s, Project plans including Disaster Recovery, Risk & ROI calculations, and all associated inter-group design relationship documentation. • Verified the PMO office SDLC and MDM as it aligned with the new ESB / SOA architecture, recommended changes to be consistent with RUP methodology and the development environment. MDM was implemented to bring sanity and a clear view of the data model used as the new basic requirement to build SOA artifacts from, it also firmed up the SDLC for methodology used for consistent adapter builds, (“The Car” 15000 + parts compromised the model) • Nissan required a set of projects of this scale to fully achieve the benefits of using MQSeries, ESB, in the SOA architecture Globally, tying all three companies together with a common infrastructure. • Managed the middleware department by interfacing daily with my IBM contract program staff and Internal customer project leads. The Nissan / IBM team designed solutions utilizing SOA architecture and obtained training for projects and my staff engineers to carry them out. Architecture consisted of WebServices utilizing the SOAP protocol and XML messaging protected by SAML security, delivered by WSDL protocol and security provided by LDAP certificates served to the HTTPS interface for the customers. • Interfaced with the WebSphere Portal, SAP Portal teams for middleware connectivity issues Environment: OS390, AS400, W2k, AIX Ver 5.2, SUN, HPUX, Holosofx, WebSphere MQ Ver 5.3, MQSI Ver 2.1, Security (RACF, DataPower, PKI/RSA certificates, Application encryption) WebSphere Portal 5.0, 5.5. 6.0, WebSphere Advanced App Server Ver 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 WebSphere Studio 5.0, 6.0 J2EE, BMC Patrol, Rational suite, DB2 UDB. Oracle, Informix, SQL Server, PeopleSoft, MDM, SAP, ERP, CRM,
