Daily Duties at Pegasus Maritime:
• Supervised and trained new employees for import dept • Handled all port communication(rate quotes, tariff updates) for shipments door to door • Confirmed documents are prepared properly according to U.S. Customs regulations • Reviewed and prepared documentation in a timely fashion (Check documents for accurate information prior to release to forwarders) • Prepared 3rd party billing for steamship lines and pier related cargos (i.e. fumigations, Vacis, and Cet exam) • Prepared report for top importers on related problems with cargos for sales team • Responsible for daily interaction with international agents, rate requests and quotations • Arranged carriers for customer’s shipment, door to door • Responsible for all import related issues; including bill pay, problems with steamship lines, CFS warehouses, and customers I.T. shipments to destinations other than NY
