Daily Duties at Ameritech Services:


BUSINESS ANALYST - OPERATIONS SUPPORT

  • Responsible for the day to day support of the Taskmate (Bellcore 4GL product) order automation process
  • Create user and process ordering/billing technical requirements
  • Create end user Methods and Procedures associated with the introduction of new products/services or changes to existing products/services to be offered to customers
  • Perform acceptance testing and production implementation of all Taskmate and C programs within a UNIX environment
  • Major activities include:

  • ASR (Access Service Request) flow through
  • Ordering/billing problem resolution
  • Workflow monitoring
  • Information gathering
  • Table updates
  • Perform overall project management
    •

    • SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR - A3DS

  • Responsible for the project management and the day-to-day support of the Ameritech Data Discrepancy Detection System (A3DS)
  • Create technical specifications for new and existing access products and services
  • Review Bellcore A3DS requirements, develop detailed design specifications, create user Methods and Procedures and maintain an up-to-date table/database design
  • Work with the Ordering and Financial Assurance Business Analysts to ensure data integrity and that this solution meets or exceeds customer expectations
  • Provide all system security
  • Major activities include:

  • Ordering/provisioning/billing problem resolution
  • A3DS application monitoring
  • TQS query report creation
  • Information gathering Table updates
  • FLEX-RULE (Basic programming) program creation and maintenance
    •
    SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR - ARIS/EXACT AND ASR INTEGRITY

  • Responsible for the project management of the ARIS/EXACT (Access Request Information System/Exchange Access Control and Tracking) and the ASR (Access Service Request) Integrity System
  • Create technical specifications for new and existing access products and services
  • Develop and implement national ordering and billing requirements
  • Utilize the TQS query language for system translations and editing
  • Provide all system security
  • Major activities include:

  • Review Bellcore ARIS requirements
  • Develop detailed designs
  • Create user Methods and Procedures
  • Maintain an up-to-date table/database design
  • Perform unit and production implementation
  • Code FLEX-TUF (Basic programming) for system translations, editing and maintenance

    BUSINESS ANALYST - CUSTOMER SUPPORT

  • Responsible for providing day-to-day issue/question resolution and providing project management representation for front line users of access ordering and billing systems and processes
  • This position require up-to-date, strong generalist knowledge in access processes and service center operations to be able to handle or take ownership for resolving short-term issues and provide representation for user groups
  • For the front line, answers the questions that cannot be resolved through the utilization of written procedures or training
  • Acts as the liaison between user and support teams for process clarification, project impacts and communications or to request process/system modifications
  • Provide project management for all IXC’s nationally and internationally, for the 708/312 Area Code Split in Chicago
  • Write Methods and Procedures for all new/changed processes

    BUSINESS ANALYST - RECONCILIATION

  • Responsible for defining, implementing and monitoring process and operational measurements created due to the FCC Demand Reconciliation
  • Based on measurement results, initiates and participates with team members from across Ordering, Provisioning and Billing to identify priorities, process problems, analyze causes, design fixes/resolutions and manage Meet Point Billing implementation
  • Write Methods and Procedures for all new/changed processes
    •
    PROJECT MANAGER - AT&T

  • Responsible for planning, estimating, coordinating and overall project management for all large AT&T projects
  • Prepares, communicates and monitors detailed schedules, manages jeopardy’s and expedites and coordinates all interfaces to achieve on-time milestones and quality deliverables
    •
    CHICAGO DISTRICT DESIGN ENGINEER

  • Responsible for planning, estimating, coordinating, writing and implementing Central Office equipment designs for Chicago Central Offices
  • Jobs written ranged from generic changes to central office equipment conversions
  • Review all specifications and Western Electric equipment layouts for accuracy and balance
  • Responsible for developing usage trends, on all equipment components using appropriate statistical procedures
