Johnson Controls Inc. – Holland, Michigan Program Manager (Project Manager) – Ford Business Unit (FBU) Negotiate, prepare, and administer major automotive interior contracts for new product launches and existing product enhancements. Project manager for automotive interior contracts with primary responsibility in timely delivery of stated objectives. Most resent accomplishments include product enhancements that resulted in annual cost savings of $2.5million. Also: 1996 – 1998 Quality / Manufacturing Engineer Manager- External customers included GM, Chrysler, and Ford Leading / managing Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers by providing them with direction, training, mentoring and performance evaluations. Significant accomplishments include receipt of the Johnson Controls Merit Award for exceeding customer expectations in the implementation of product acoustical enhancements while booking a $750 thousand annual savings to JCI. Also: 1993 – 1996Continuous Improvement Manager Identified cost save opportunities while managing and facilitating cost reduction programs that achieved annual savings of $12 million in 1993, $16 million in 1994, and $32 million in 1996 from a sub-business unit that grossed $350 million in annual sales. Also: 1983 – 1993 Promoted from assembly worker to team leader to project manager assistant. Success in these areas coupled with continual college education resulted in opportunities for greater responsibilities.
