Daily Duties at Quest Diagnostics:
Specimen Technician • This position started in June of 2003 through a temp agency (Aerotek) and was employed permanently in December of 2003 • Customer Service • Greeted patients/answered a multi line phone system • Called doctors for test and ICD-9 Verification • collected and accessioned laboratory orders • prepared laboratory orders for phlebotomists • assisted in blood draws • collected and processed specimens • Competed urine drug screens • scheduled patients for timed tests • Accepted cash payments, calculated change • Sent and received faxes, performed general office tasks and used domestic office machines.
