Lead Senior Network Security Engineer & Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Directed 7–member team configuring, testing, researching, and troubleshooting new security products in Windows NT environment; included active firewall network vulnerability, PKI security software, and intrusion and vulnerability detection software. Provided security on Intel-based platforms. Assigned quarterly security engineer. Led development of support training for all products. Major Contributions: • Investigated and resolved months-old open firewall issues. • Eliminated long-standing conflict between manager and other teams, removing manager from position, and successfully encouraging teams to initiate communication with counterparts. • Enhanced image of disorderly team, boosted morale, and advocated team building. Key Projects: • Designed, built, and improved Network Security Firewall with added features; enforced diligence in tracking, implemented security policy, and deployed IDS systems in internal DMZ networks. • Established SSL and IPSEC/IKE-based VPNs, and installed PKI and PKCS standards. • Formulated lab and test plans, matrixes, and network for heterogeneous and homogeneous networks with multiple diverse file systems and protocols. • Orchestrated implementation of LAN/WANs with VPN, leading firewall compatibility testing, PKI, PGP, and intrusion and vulnerability detection configurations.
