Daily Duties at Deutsche Bank:
Executed and completed loan underwriting due diligence on over $7B in commercial mortgages for CMBS securitization. Executed analysis for various collateral types that included regional malls, anchored and unanchored retail, general and medical office buildings, industrial/warehouses, mobile home parks and full- and limited-service hotels. Conducted examination and verification of historical operating performance, abstracting leases and reviewing all third party reports to project lender risk exposure over loan term and at maturity. Analyzed borrower’s credit worthiness based on review of background searches, real estate experience and financial wherewithal. Scrutinized appraisal methodology in terms of market conditions, capitalization rates, discount rates and expense analysis. Securitized over $6.8B in commercial mortgages with responsibilities that included explaining deal structures to senior and B-piece investors. Conducted rating agency calls specifically challenging haircuts, LTVs and agency level ratings. Collaborated in asset management of commercial real estate loans that remained on Deutsche Bank’s balance sheet following the collapse of securitization market in 2007/2008.
