Purchasing Agent  Responsible for all purchasing for both companies, with combined annual sales of $12 million.  Negotiated contracts, consignment and stocking agreements with vendors to achieve cost savings and improved supplier deliveries.  Designed and implemented requisition system to more accurately order and track purchases.  Continued to maintain manual and computer inventory systems.  Assisted Foundry Division Sales Coordinator with inside sales.  Negotiated discounts with freight carriers and obtained quotations for shipments.  Prepared shipping documents; packing lists, bills of lading, export and hazardous goods.
