Managed safety and insurance processes for an operations and maintenance contractor working in high tech, manufacturing, airports, distribution centers and stadiums. •Developed strategies with corporate attorneys and insurance carriers handling workers’ compensation claims limiting exposure and reducing future medical and indemnity losses for 70 locations with over 1,000 employees. •Created and managed the company health and safety programs. Published the first corporate health and safety manual covering topics such as Hazardous Materials and Right Know, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Bloodborne Pathogens and Personal Protective Equipment. •Chaired the National Safety Committee, participated as member of the Executive Committee. Participation resulted in policy creation, direction of company programs, standardized reports and insurance processes. •Corporate Fleet Manager responsible for enforcement of all company vehicle policies. Procured and disposed of all company vehicles. Identified an executive oversight, recommended a different course of action and disposed of over 100 vehicles with three years of amortized cost of $2 million remaining. Facilitated a smooth disposition of remaining equipment and generated over $20 thousand of savings in six months.
