Daily Duties at Sears Holding Corp.:
•Improved previous year’s insurance financial losses by $3 million. Provided strategic counsel to store and district management on improved work process design for specific store operations. Addressed workers’ compensation and general liability claims handling. •Partnered with Division, District and Store Management to integrate safety and loss awareness. Reviewed and made recommendations for improvements on issues such as claims handling, physical deficiencies, daily awareness meetings, safety committee meetings, loss metrics and external compliance reviews. •Supplied weekly loss reports and analyses of losses to Divisional and District Management. Reports contained consolidated loss information along with ideas that increased awareness of losses and brought attention to deficiencies. •Inspected physical conditions of stores on a regular basis. Coached store management on such issues as hazardous waste disposal, customer accident prevention, merchandise display hazards and methods to improve store processes that would reduce claims severity and/or volume.
