Daily Duties at Wichita Police Department:

MUNICIPAL COURT LIAISON OFFICER • Promote communication between Prosecutors, District Attorneys and the Police Department to facilitate Officers’ court appearances. • Developed departmental policy to reduce overtime costs, which saved $1 million in first year of implementation. • Produce statistics, overtime reports, issue reprimands to officers not following procedures reference their court appearances, train recruits on court procedures, research case files with Prosecutors.   S.P.I.D.E.R and CASE DESK • Worked as intermediary assistance for police dispatch and data entry for police reports. PRINT SHOP • Printed Police Forms. • Compiled daily police INTERWATCH distributed to officers daily. • Compiled reports of daily auto thefts and burglaries. ACCIDENT/THEFT • Distributed accident and burglary reports for insurance companies. • Received payment for insurance reports and contacted various insurance companies reference their police report requests. POLICE RECORDS WORD PROCESSOR • Type officer’s reports from a Dictaphone. • Typed approximately 80 - 100 minutes of recorded reports daily.
