Daily Duties at Best Buy:
Staffing for Receiving and Stocking departments (20 employees) for an 8 hour shift based on given workload for the day. VTO employees if workload is light and sending employees to other departments if help is needed in other areas of the building. Responsible for all supervisor duties when supervisor is not present. Daily use of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, AS/400, and RF unit. All employee hours, cartons and pallets received, pallets put away, and clerical hours documented in excel spreadsheet to calculate total UPH and PPH for the shift. Responsible for training of new employees in receiving dept. Unloading of product with power equipment. Detailed product sort ranging from batteries to 72” televisions. Receipt of product onto correct PO, KeyRec, BOL, and to proper TiHi. Use of RF and AS/400 to ensure quality receipt of product. Daily encounters with truck drivers to fill out OSD forms if there are any discrepancies on trailer. Freight claims dealing with an overage, shortage, or damage. Accurate documentation to ensure correct billing and receipt of freight. Employee of the Month, July 2003 (over 300 associates). Licensed to operate clamp truck, standup forklift, sit down forklift, reach truck, and pallet truck. Cross trained in E-commerce, order processing, non-con, repack, shipping, and replenishment.
