Daily Duties at Broughton And Associates:
• Researched and developed in country a trade, investment and market opportunity survey on the Republic of Vietnam for Union Carbide Corporation. • Negotiated for an Arab consortium the first privatization approval in Mexico for a world class port and industrial development at Manzanillo, Colima, and $400 million in capital and trading projects in the Middle East for leading Mexican industrial and petrochemical groups. • Developed the State Government Economic Development Plan for Baja California Sur, Mexico. This plan was a comprehensive and integrated plan for the development of industry, mining and tourism; development of the resources required and negotiation with prospective investors. • Assisted the Mexican Government in the development of new investment rules and was appointed investment development advisor for the State Governments of Baja California Sur and Colima, Mexico, 1987/91.
