Daily Duties at Cranesbill Books:
In January of 2008, I was hired as General Manager of Cranesbill Books, a full service independent bookstore, which will close soon due to the ill health of its owner. I oversee the operation of all departments, employees, and the daily operation of the store. The policies and practices which I have instituted, such as the editing of inventory, streamlining of staff, and the establishment of a regular book return system have increased our profits such that Cranesbill Books is now a thriving and popular local bookstore, despite the struggling economy.
