Daily Duties at Indian Association For The Cultivation Of Science:

Co-advised a graduate student on a-Si:H and a-SiGe:H thin-film solar cells project. I virtually guided her from training the experimental techniques as well as interpreting the results and finally publishing the paper. I developed a new research program alongwith the graduate student on developing a-Si:H thin-film in the ?–regime or close to the powder regime of RF PECVD. We invented amorphous silicon-like materials in the ?–regime and helium diluted plasma. We call these materials “quasi-amorphous silicon films”, which show very low defect density at annealed state as well as light-soaked state. The quasi-amorphous silicon films show stable mobility-lifetime product (?n?n) ~ 10-6 cm2/V (G ? 1018 cm-2sec-1), the invention of quasi-amorphous silicon is a breakthrough in the field of a-Si in finding practical solution of Staebler-Wronski effect.

What they like about Indian Association For The Cultivation Of Science:

A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
