Daily Duties at Syracuse University:

Responsible for developing new research program, bringing research grants, developing and teaching in physics. Co-founded a research program in condense matter physics group on polymer semiconductor and hydrogenated amorphous silicon hybrid solar cells devices. This research was the subject matter of a Ph.D. student although she worked on different polymer semiconductor. Succeeded in bringing external funding of the amount $238,000.00 from EPV Solar as well as National Science Foundation. The project from EPV Solar was a lower-tier subcontract of a project of EPV Solar from National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Under EPV Solar project, developed new system and invented “new type” of silicon thin-film with “icosahedral” symmetry. This is breakthrough in silicon technology. I developed an international collaborative project with New University of Lisbon funded by National Science Foundation on amorous-to-nanocrystalline transition materials, I call it quasi-amorphous silicon thin-film. The X-ray diffraction does not show the structure of nanocrystalline silicon thin-film, yet on the verse of transition to nanocrystalline structure. I also taught at the undergraduate level experimental physics course during Spring, 2001.
