Daily Duties at Diamond Stainless/Mc Farland's Foods:
Reporting to the CFO and CEO and supervising 4 accounting clerks, managing all finance and accounting activities for 3 affiliated companies including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Cash Accounting, long-term equipment lease accounting, Cost Accounting, GL Accounting, Month End Close cycle, installing and managing the computer system and software, interfacing with external CPA’s, reporting agencies and banking and credit facility contacts; establishing sound accounting processes and procedures; developing batch production cost accounting methods for inventory valuation and product pricing; implementing inventory control and physical count procedures. McFarland’s Foods, Inc., McFarland’s Foods of Missouri, Inc., and Diamond Stainless, Inc. were sister companies owned by the McFarland family which operated in the food processing industry and grew from approximately $3 Million in gross revenue to $12 Million during my tenure with the company.
