Daily Duties at Plexco:
Responsible for HR duties which included recruiting and hiring employees, employee orientations, benefits, payroll and other HR Duties as assigned. Developed and administered policies and procedures in relation to risk management, safety and workers’ compensation to include the Injury Illness Prevention Program and ensured compliance to safety and other EHS programs, coordinating a behavioral based safety program in a plastic pipe manufacturing facility including experience in ISO 9000 and ISO 14001. Developed and presented heath and safety related training. Assisted a sister pipe manufacturing facility in Bloomfield Iowa apply for and eventually achieve and eventually be awarded OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). Applied for CAL/OSHA’s VPP Star Program for the Colton facility but the plant was closed down and moved to Texas just before being awarded this prestigious Health & Safety award.
