Daily Duties at Environmental Protection Agency, Region 6:
Project Officer overseeing printer maintenance contract including contractor activities while onsite, printer cartridge stock, approved invoices and recommended procurement of new printers when necessary. Performed as Line Item Manager to purchase reference materials and on-line databases for all staff and oversaw the closure of the library. As member of the Enterprise Content Management committee, participated in the development of a new records classification and retention system, developed the Region 6 heirarchical structure for e-mail and electronic retention schedule system. Served as Task Order Project Officer by overseeing the management of eight file rooms in Dallas and Houston EPA offices. Implemented records management system and special library primarily for hispanic literature regarding the EPA at the EPA satellite office in El Paso, TX. Served on the Continuity of Operations (COOP) program. Revised the outdated Region 6 Continuity of Operations Policy, developed Fly-A-Way kits, trained senior staff and colleagues in their responsibilities for implementing the COOP Policy. Participated in the development, implementation and conduct of Regional COOP Drills for validating the effectiveness of the COOP Policy.
