Daily Duties at Fed Ex:

Operations Manager - FedEx As a FedEx Operations Manager, I managed 50 employees on a daily basis. I was responsible for FedEx pickup and delivery service in Niles, Mortongrove, Glenview, Skokie, Evanston, and the North side of Chicago. I managed couriers, handlers, shuttle drivers and customer service agents. My job responsibilities included payroll administration, audit compliance, employee training and development and station safety coordination.. My operation picked up and processed 7000 - 10,000 packages nightly. During peak season volume increased to 12,000 nightly. I launched 8 transport conveyances nightly to O’Hare airport. I visited customer locations to enhance or modify shipping needs. I worked closely with the sales department to acquire new accounts and properly service all existing accounts. I also worked very closely with my engineering department to establish station goals and budgets. The budget has daily weekly and monthly productivity goals. I managed the budget and modified staffing, route structure and work schedules to meet individual indices of the budget. I met with the district director and dispatch Operation on a weekly basis. During these meetings route structure and courier performance were evaluated. I also traveled to attend training seminars. The following are some of the training coures I have attended: Corporate law practices, Sexual harassment in the work place, Diversity training, Station budgeting, human resource common practices, conflict resolution and Management principals.
