Daily Duties at Arkansas Valley State Bank:

I began with Arkansas Valley State Bank as an Administrative Assistant assisting lenders with their loan documents and then in July of 2004 I was promoted to Compliance Officer and Credit Department Supervisor. My duties included Prefund of commercial and consumer loans, to attend supervisor meetings and compliance webinars/seminars to keep abreast of changing regulations and lending laws. Supervise all aspects of the credit department and assist all other lending and mortgage lending personnel and other departments of the bank. Reporting such as 1099 and 1099S, HMDA data to the Federal Reserve, credit reporting, Loan Loss Reserve reporting monthly to various Bank Officers and the Board of Directors. I was promoted in the 2nd quarter of 2004 to Bank Officer and was voted Employee of the Quarter. Train employees annually on CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) as well as keeping the banks public file up to date. I would keep the loan department abreast of any changes that affected them in documentation and as well as regulatory changes. In April of 2007 initiated BankTrack Imaging software to scan all bank related lending documents.

What they like about Arkansas Valley State Bank:

Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
