Daily Duties at Dutchmen Manufacturing, Inc:
• Responsible for the Development of Lean Business Systems in the entire Dutchmen Mfg. system. • 5-S and Kaizen Project Manager - improved direct labor & material efficiency/increased throughput • Promoted to Plant Manager in the Middlebury plant. • Promoted to “Lean Enterprise Manager” – for all 5 manufacturing plants &Corporate Mgt. system. • Lead Kaizen events in multiple Dutchmen mfg. plants: results in direct & indirect labor & material savings on avg. of 30% thru – “point of use” inventory, motion reductions, quality at the source, visuals, operator & manager accountability, etc. • Projects I lead & supported to reduce costs in warranty, overtime, scrap, materials, & developed effective communication system thru Tier 3 management tracking process & separate Kaizen events. The Tier 3 Mgmt. system and kaizen projects resulted in total savings of over $500,000 annual 2008. • Lead Kaizen events that increased product throughput on avg. 20% in the support & main line plant operations thru reduction of WIP in the system.
