Daily Duties at Ross Stores:
• Managed the effective planning of a $750 million business (750 stores) using the Arthur Planning System in conjunction with the Retek Information System • Supervised a staff of 6 direct reports and a support staff of 15 • Participated in the development of seasonal plans that supported the Corporate Sales, Margin and Turn objectives with the Senior Executive VP, DMM’s and Manager of each division • Reviewed the breakout of the seasonal plans into monthly sales, inventory, markdown and turn objectives • Supervised the weekly and monthly review of sales and inventory plans • Directed the review process of the weekly OTB with the Managers and Buyers for the current and next 5 months • Supported the Managers in the breakout of the bottom line monthly plans into the 10 regions of the Company • Incorporated Regional Sales Performance into overall business recommendations • Accurately assessed the abilities of my staff to train them to be valued contributors to the company • Trained and developed 3 direct reports to ultimately assume directorships in the company. • Trained and developed 5 direct reports to assume Merchandise Control Managers positions and 3 direct reports to assume management trainee positions.
