Daily Duties at Material Sciences Corporation:
Generalist Skills & Responsibilities •Recruit, interview and select qualified applicants for all plant specific positions •Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation for new employees •Ensure compliance with company compensation plans for new hires •Complete employment verification and other appropriate documentation •Administer and monitor all MSC benefit plans including, Savings and Investment 401(k), Defined Contribution, Stock Purchase, Short and Long Term Disability, EAP, Tuition Assistance, Workers Compensation and COBRA •Develop and maintain required internal and corporate reports Labor Relations •Facilitate labor management meetings including grievances and work issues •Ensure compliance with the collective bargaining agreement •Partner with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations •Review and document all employee terminations •Conduct employee exit interviews
