Daily Duties at L & L Food Centers:
• Manage over 30 employees. • Open and close the store by making sure it is presentable and ready for business at all times. • Develop the schedule for the front-end associates according to projected sales and hours. • Complete performance evaluations on a timely basis. • Responsible for calculating daily sales of the store. • Enter NSF checks into the computer to prevent cashiers from accepting more from the same customer. • Prepare the cash and checks for the bank deposit, make the deposit, and pick up the change order. • Assist in timely pickup, control and security of cash register funds, and the counting of tills. • Operate Western Union, Money Order, Lotto, and Lottery. • Transact item returns, scan errors, carpet cleaner rentals and run cash register. • Supervise cashiers and service clerks by assigning breaks during down times and assisting with customer service issues. • Trained over 50 new cashiers and office associates. • Answer phones, sort mail, stock items, face products, perform price changes, sign for shipments, and write checks for vendors. • Prepare and send cigarette, liquor, and lottery orders.
