US Army Corps of Engineers-Kandahar Runway Kandahar, Afghanistan ($60M) Resident Engineer for all on-site Quality Assurance inspection of activities related to airfield earthwork and paving construction Responsible for laboratory test inspection of soil, concrete, and asphalt Analyzed construction methodology, and provided recommendations for corrective action. Reviewed, tracked, and approved submittals for equipment and materials Coordinated work activity and schedules with client and contractor Introduced and/or approved Proposed Change Modifications and Field Orders Illinois State Toll Highway Authority - I-90 Resurfacing, Belvidere, IL ($10M) Provided construction management and engineering service for two-lane horizontal bituminous resurfaced paving Ensured concrete, asphalt, pavement markings, and electrical items of construction were built according to plans and specifications Provided daily documentation of progress and quantities, project correspondence and coordination, maintenance of project records, survey of control line and grade, final inspection, and project closeout Chicago Department of Transportation-"Streetscape", Chicago IL ($1-6M) Responsible for all on-site quality inspection of asphalt, concrete, electrical, sewers, pavement markings, and landscaping Coordinated construction activity with client, contractor, alderman’s office, Chicago Utilities, and citizens Documented quantities for pay estimates to ensure contractor received payment in timely manner Generated Proposed Change Modifications and Field Orders to ensure best quality and most efficient product was provided to client
