Working for a company with an emphasis on social values and helping society is a clear and important priority for you - a critical factor in who you choose to work for. In contrast to other factors, you place an organization's reputation for fairness and concern for the community above most other aspects of the company. As you search for a new job opportunity, it is usually possible to find out if the company is involved in the community and/or if it is addressing problems and issues in society. Climbers' Joblogs at Shadow Man Entertainment:

Deep in the job hunt

So I'm applying what I know about information gathering and online research into my job hunt. I'm running about 35 different feeds into Google reader, running google alerts and tweetscans for keywords like: music jobs, digital media, etc. I have created god knows how many different profiles across various job sites and my daily routine still involves a lot of filtering through the opportunities that arrive in my inbox.

I've been at this for 8 weeks now - I had my resume professionally re-written 3 weeks ago and it sure looks good but not getting many hits with it. I guess that being a hybrid of marketer and musician puts me in the "jack of all trades master of none" category - which could be disheartening if I wasn't so freakin optimistic.

My focus aside from the numbers game when it comes to the resume and cover letter deliveries is about getting out and meeting real life people - I'm using a combination of new tools like bright kite through twitter to meet people as well as signing up for local lists and meet ups. Target is to find a killer new position by Christmas that involves music or digital media in some way and that allows me to bring my creative and leadership skills to the fore.
