Daily Duties at Wes Co Industries:
Responsible for managing a work force of about 60 employees in seven departments for an industrial sheet metal fabricator, including Purchasing, Production, Estimating, Project Management, Engineering, Quality Control, Personnel, Accounting and Finance. Duties consisted of acquisition of new equipment, maintaining current equipment and allocation of resources and personnel to projects. Determined job priority, raw material allocation and management of raw stock inventory. Successfully met budgets, both overall business and production jobs, remaining 96% within budget. Introduced procurement, production planning and master scheduling process software that reduced inventory and improved on time delivery of product to the customers by 36%. Increased accuracy of job costing, and clarified man power efficiency. Reduced the time an order was ship to invoicing down to two days from five to fifteen. Reduced office support by 50%. Spearheaded and set up new outside sales team and new equipment acquisition to further reduce costs while improving product quality and customer service. Maintained regular safety checks and preventative maintenance programs to meet all OSHA safety standards and Increased safety awareness training in all work centers.
