Daily Duties at Applied Films:
Supported purchasing and engineering in seeking out, surveying and qualifying vendors that were able to perform processes required in new designs. Worked closely with purchasing to manage specific vendor quality and delivery performance issues. Managed the receiving inspection activities to ensure adequate inspection levels were maintained. Managed vendor contacts to resolve vendor questions and issues on engineering design and specifications. Worked closely with new vendors to answer all questions in a timely manner to insure the product being provided met AF specifications. Conducted source inspections as required for critical parts. Utilized the Discrepant Materials Request (DMR) process to identify quality performance levels of vendors and to work with vendors to improve their performance levels. Met with vendors on a regular basis to review Quality issues and ensure vendor processes continued to meet AF criteria. Conducted vendor ISO audits and surveys.
