* Administered, installed, and provided 24 by 7 support for 70 Compaq servers running Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 on an Ethernet and FDDI network that supported more than 2,000 users. * Provided third level support to help desk and PC technicians to facilitate the resolution of PC hardware, software, and network issues. * Monitored server performance using the latest tools and methods and maintaining related logs and documentation. * Authored and maintained hardware and software installation procedures, configuration information, diagnostic instructions, and inventory status information. * Reported server availability metrics to upper management and provided detailed information on failures and their causes. * Consulted internal customers on server requirements, configurations, and system pricing. * Prepared on-call and work schedules and ensured that required resources (hardware, etc.) were on-site to facilitate emergency repairs. * Assisted management in identifying and scheduling training opportunities and provided staff training and mentoring on networking, Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, and Compaq hardware, and to assist in refining troubleshooting skills.
