Daily Duties at Lexmark International Inc.:
* Managed a $600,000 IT budget and a broad range of technology projects, served as Team Lead and supervised a five-person team (one of whom was located in India), and oversaw the support of over 300 users and 45 Dell PowerEdge servers running Microsoft Windows NT 4.0/2000/2003. * Performed IT/business analysis to ensure that business needs were met and facilitated the development of a highly effective technology and process framework. * Developed processes to enhance IT staff functions as well as procedures designed to improve cross-training on applications and support functions. * Managed relationships and expectations and coordinated activities with vendors and across organizations. * Submitted weekly reports, led required meetings, and provided feedback to management on team member achievements, strengths and weaknesses. * Led meetings and gave presentations to executive management and customers explaining technology strategies, initiatives, communicate project proposals and status, and championed technical improvements to the company’s IT environment. * Managed Active Directory for the domain, monitored server workload using Microsoft Performance Monitor, and created and oversaw semi-annual firmware updates ensuring that server’s firmware and hardware-related drivers were kept up-to-date. * Managed a Network Appliance (NetApp) filer models FAS940 & 3020. * Ensured that processes and procedures were well documented, communicated, and updated as needed. * Mentored team members and junior technicians within the United States, India and The Philippines.
