Daily Duties at Vangent (Formally Pearson Government Solutions):
Responsibilities include providing human resources services for 300+ employees and management for 24/7 call center. Provide advice and counsel to managers, supervisors, and employees as to employee resources policies, procedures, benefits, full cycle recruiting (including advertising campaigns), compensation, training, payroll, and employee relations. Counsel management on the proper handling of all human resources issues involving disciplinary actions, terminations, lay-offs, Affirmative Action and EEOC claims, compensation and benefits issues. Listen to employee problems and provide feedback to managers to ensure corrective action is taken. Conduct workplace investigations for sexual harassment claims and employee relations investigations. Develop and present new hire orientation and sexual harassment prevention training. Develop and implement recruiting strategies to meet high volume staffing needs of multiple departments, develop and maintain business relationships to act proactively in meeting Affirmative Action recruiting requirements.
