Daily Duties at Guardian Industries:
Supervised, trained, developed, and managed technicians in the manufacture of float glass, including professional development and setting/monitoring performance standards. Liaised across functions with various department managers to assure full communications, coordinate production schedules, and ensure maximum productivity facility-wide. Oversaw quality control and implementation of/compliance with company policies and procedures; supervise operation of complex manufacturing equipment; monitor performance and troubleshoot/correct issues. Generated and presented reports for management. *Forged and led unified, cohesive team focused on accomplishing tasks in fast-paced environment demanding error-free performance. Initiated and participated in development of database to utilize statistical process control (SPC) methodology to analyze and improve glass manufacturing process. *Developed and oversaw implementation of multiple process/procedure improvements designed to increase product quality and utility. *Employed creativity and analytical strengths to manage multiple process engineering projects to reduce costs, improve quality and productivity. *Member of supervisory team that accomplished over 1.5 million work hours without an OSHA reportable “lost-time accident”.
