Daily Duties at Watermark Paddlesports Inc.:
Supervised QA team in directing all departmental activities in concert with federal and corporate regulations in the manufacture of life-vests and watersports safety gear. Oversee all quality testing/documentation; coordinate product development relevant to product design/redesign. Create and manage comprehensive documentation in accordance with ISO 9000, UL, US Coast Guard, and other quality organizations. Train and mentor QA personnel and inspectors to ensure proficiency and accuracy. Coordinate with Materials Manager and Warehouse Supervisor relevant to incoming materials; test and verify materials. Monitor production process to ensure consistent quality; develop and implement QA procedures as necessary to ensure regulatory compliance. Monitor/manage inventory levels. *Revised, flowcharted/process mapped numerous departmental functions to improve efficiency. *Developed and implemented new load-threshold testing equipment, saving thousands of dollars in contracted expenses. *Leveraged detail orientation and ability to learn to quickly grasp complex testing and approval criteria. *Made significant contributions to continuous improvement initiatives for product line.
