Daily Duties at Applied Materials:

• Business Transformation Model Early Adopter project – Requirements, Analysis & Design for deployment of mySAP SRM in Indirect Purchasing at this leading semi-conductor equipment manufacturing corporation - Did spend analyses based on commodity groups, supply base, purchase groups - Mapped AS-IS process flows while being part of JAD sessions with business groups - Identified and suggested KPIs for success of TO-BE design of SRM processes - Generated use case scenarios and did gap analysis based on proposed business rules - Drafted questionnaires and participated in evaluating RFI responses of prospective e-procurement vendors - To handle change management, participated in Impact Analyses to project, stakeholders and departments • Global Indirect Purchasing – Served as single POC between internal purchase requestors and external vendors - Classified purchase based on UNSPSC coding, and generated POs in SAP R/3 4.7 - Followed up orders for domestic and international vendors and resolved any procurement issues - Managed new vendor set-up (domestic & global) in SAP by coordinating with A/P - Analyzed and documented cases of spot buys, escalated cases to management periodically - Participated in vendor contract negotiations.
